14 years ago, someone got the deal of a lifetime when Laszlo Hanyecz, an early Bitcoin enthusiast and programmer, offered 10,000 BTCs for two Papa John’s pizzas. During this time, the transaction was reportedly worth just $41 but today, it’s worth $697 million.
Hanyecz said he would pay 10,000 BTC for pizzas and someone took his offer, accepting the Bitcoins and sending the two pizzas.
