Presidential candidate RFK Jr. promised Americans they can see the US government’s entire budget on the blockchain 24/7.
Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced that he’ll place the entire US budget on the blockchain per a video uploaded by Holden Culotta on X, promising Americans that they’ll be able to look at the whole budget anytime they want.
“We’re gonna have 300 million eyeballs on our budget, and if somebody is spending $16,000 for a toilet seat, everybody’s gonna know about it.”
RFK was also the first US presidential candidate to accept Bitcoin donations and promised to stop the development of a CBDC. Compared to other candidates, RFK was one of the few that was strongly supportive of Bitcoin.
The presidential candidate also promised to back the US dollar with Bitcoin if he gets elected and even proposed tax exemption for Bitcoin profits. He also promised to establish policies allowing individuals to manage their own Bitcoin wallets, nodes, and passwords, with necessary measures in place to still prevent money laundering.
RFK has also publicly criticized Joe Biden’s proposed crypto mining tax, saying it would push innovation away from the US.
