For the first time ever, CZ’s family has come out in support of the Binance founder.
The family of Binance fonder CZ remained a mistery for quite some time until recently, when his two children, who study at a US university, were among those who sent the 161 letters of support. Other family members who signed the letter include his sister, a former Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, and He Yi, co-founder of Binance.
Previously, it was reported that CZ’s wife and children live in the UAE. It was also known that He Yi, a co-founder of Binance, held a minimum of 10% of the company’s shares.
Among the names were Heina Chen, who could possibly be Guangying “Heina” Chen who was alleged to be a secretive executive associate with CZ with an unknown title at the exchange but is said to control numerous bank accounts and served as director for multiple Binance entities.
Upon stepping down from his position at Binance, CZ said he would remain available for consultation and that he’ll probably do passive investing. The founder later revealed his online education platform, Giggle Academy.
CZ was replaced by Richard Teng as the new CEO of Binance.
CZ has been a prominent figure in crypto, with pictures dated back to May 2014 of him and Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin.
